Tape Hair Extensions

Tape hair extensions are the new extension craze now on the market with so many ladies showing interest in this form of hair extension application which very different to fusion hair extensions, clip in hair extensions and micro ring hair extension just to mention a few.

One of the reason why this product is kind of generating buzz with ladies is the easy way it can be applied to ones natural hair with the taught that just cello taping it to their natural hair makes it quicker for them to get an extension fixed instead of having to wait endlessly to have it done.

Though the excitement is there, it is important to analyze what ladies stand to gain or lose by using tape hair extensions. In attaching this to the natural hair, a parting is made through the hair and the back tape covering the sticking part is removed and placed under the natural hair where the parting is made, though this extension is placed sparingly in order for it to stay in place.

 After placing it , it is advised that the end of a tail comb is used to smoothen the tape extension with the natural hair after this you need to pick another piece of tape extension that will be placed on top of the previous one so that your hair can be in between this extensions. It is advised that you do not wash your hair for 3 days so as to allow the taped hair set in place.

I don’t see any benefits that this product presents to people that intend using it because when your natural hair is sandwiched between two tapes the tendencies of having hair breakage when removing the tape extension is high, the danger it also presents to your natural hair is enormous because you are not able to wash your hair and treat it adequately because you don’t want to damage the tape that holds the hair extension in place.

The tape hair extensions removal should be done with care or by a professional hair salon else you will be removing your natural hair with this extension and it might begin to affect the growth of your natural hair and it might not grow back to the length it was before. My advice for ladies is to avoid this type of hair extension to prevent any natural hair damage that might result hair spot baldness.

My opinion on this is that instead of going for an extension that has the high propensity to damage your hair while not choose a clip in hair extension that is easy to clip to your natural hair and also easy to remove. With the clip in you don’t have to wear an extension all day or week long.
